THE BRIEF

To conduct an audit of Staycity properties on the 4 x GDS and identify any gaps in data so that improvements can be made to optimise the corporate GDS market.  Provide education and training to the Staycity team on GDS. 

HOW WE HELPED

Conducted an audit of 8 properties across the 4 GDS, using a key component framework which drives how agents search and book.  Review the rate returns in the ‘how easy you are to do business with’ and analyse the production by rate type and develop a cost of distribution matrix.  Review the competitive set presence on the GDS. Make recommendations for performance improvement, delivered in a roadmap format. 

We also developed a GDS workshop which included data slides and a live demo of the properties and competitors across GDS.

At Staycity we took the opportunity to review our set up on the GDS to ensure that we are best placed to capture all opportunities as the corporate market returns. RaspberrySky were able to quickly identify gaps in our data and also how we should approach our brand moving forward, giving us a robust roadmap of all actions. In addition, they put together a GDS workshop for our team which included live demonstration of the GDS, our properties and competitor returns. This has helped us to better understand the GDS, the size of opportunity and how we can improve our performance – highly recommend!
